Abstract: Effects of terrorism on tourism can be seen in numbers of tourist arrivals or in terms of saftey and security. Beyond these perspectives, the article develops a social and cultural theory perspective. Terrorism, tourism, and their relationships are interpreted as postmodern phenomena.
