Abstract:
This contribution focuses on the development of product strategies in rail passenger transport for a special segment: Customers, that are booking their city trip via a tour operator and getting an exclusive cooperation ticket. In addition to the analysis of user structure, travel habits and alternative transport choices, customer satisfactions and importance of individual service components are considered in detail. By identifying customer segments, some differentiated approaches for the service-elements are formulated to increase the attractiveness of travelling by train and create sustained customer satisfaction.
