Abstract: This article surveys the utility potentials of cooperatives of elderly individuals. Considering the increasingly scarce monetary resources, we pay particular attention to the assessment of monetary utility concepts. The application of a theoretically sound evaluation model shows that members of a cooperative not only appreciate non-monetary quality of life aspects, but also utility factors of a monetary character.
