Abstract:
The purpose of this study is an empirical evaluation of member promotion strategies in cooperative banks as well as an attempt to uncover informational deficits related to the principle of member promotion. We also analyse the acceptance of measuring member promotion and corresponding cost-benefit-aspects as perceived by bank managers. Our study is based on a questionnaire conducted in 2009 and including 234 cooperative banks located in Baden-Württemberg.
