Abstract:
Enabled by the 2006 amendment of the German Co-operative Act, the co-operative legal form spread out in new business fields in the last decade. In this paper we show chances and limits of this development. An extension of the traditional, present branch classification is needed due to the advance of cooperatives in new business fields.
