Abstract:
The article examines the extent to which the reform of the German Cooperatives Act in 2006 has proven to be effective with regard to the changes in the financial and organisational constitution of cooperatives. First, the essential content of the reform will be summarised. Then the admissibility of contributions in kind and the required minimum capital adequacy will be discussed. Furthermore, the article addresses the controversial possibility of admitting investing members.
