Using C4.5 Algorithm in Classification of Asthma in Children for Suggesting Best Possible Treatment

Abstract: Millions of children worldwide suffer from asthma, and finding the best therapy is critical for treating thedisease and improving the quality of life for those afflicted. Data mining is critical for detecting hiddenpatterns and trends in massive datasets, such as those used in healthcare. It has been used to identify and treatdisorders including asthma. The C4.5 algorithm is a common decision tree technique that is employed in theproposed work to build a decision tree for selecting the optimal asthma medication in children. It employsthree primary data mining steps: pre-processing, categorization, and decision tree. Finally, if the dependentvariable matched the provided conditions, the results were gathered using a decision tree. Healthcarepractitioners can make educated judgements by using data mining techniques.
