Abstract:
The last two years have significantly influenced the evolution of companies and the leadership styles applied by managers. Work from home, downsizing, technical unemployment, reduced production capacity and all aspects of the pandemic have led leaders to adopt innovative team coordination strategies, involving changes in communication style, coordination, motivation, and evaluation of employee outcomes. The role of leaders changed significantly during the pandemic, the innovative ways in which they positioned themselves at the team level being the success factors in most cases, the most significant qualities being organizing via a network of teams, displaying deliberate calm and bounded optimism, making intuitive decisions amid uncertainty, demonstrating empathy and effectively communicating.
