Région apprenante: du concept à l'application:l'exemple de la Suisse

Abstract: The communication presents a reflexion on the applicability of the concept of area learning like instrument from policy from regional development. The originality of the communication is to present a reflexion which goes from the theoretical concept to the implementation on the ground by integrating considerations on the problems in Switzerland. From the methodological point of view, the concept of learning area was defined starting from an analysis of the literature; it was refined and adapted to the Swiss context by hearings of European and Swiss experts. In terms of awaited results, it is a question of highlighting the possible contributions, the difficulties and the obstacles which one meets when one wants to try one to implement a policy of development based on the concept of learning region.
