Structural change in developing countries: Which policies matter?

Abstract:
This paper studies the policy drivers of structural change in developing countries. Results show that most structural policies enhance structural change over the long run. An active exchange rate and countercyclical fiscal policies also foster structural change. JEL Codes: L16, O11.
