Abstract:
This article shares the key findings from an action research on a new type of innovation called ?excubation.? It consists in immersing the employees of large companies in external startup accelerators in order to explore new business opportunities. Situated between intrapreneurship and open innovation, excubation offers rich lessons on the conditions necessary for large companies to succeed in their innovations but also to transform themselves into more agile organizations.
