Abstract:
Based on research addressing entrepreneurs? value mobilization process (valuation) in the context of social business model evolution, this article draws on the emotional part of the process to highlight dissonance as a marker of the tension felt by conviction entrepreneurs between the ideal and actual value created through their social business model. Dissonance is then presented as a trigger for useful negative emotions to detect the rise of evolution. Relying on these, we suggest questioning entrepreneurial emotions for support officers and mentors to proceed to both technical and human accompaniment for conviction entrepreneurs.
