Abstract:
This innovative practice paper contributes a proof of concept that provides entrepreneurs with emotional education through coaching sessions on the emotional and thoughts level to improve their entrepreneurial performance. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of an actual transformational coaching program equipping entrepreneurs with specific and targeted emotional skills. This paper also makes a unique and important contribution to the entrepreneurship literature by going beyond a theoretical framework of what could be done in entrepreneurship education to equip entrepreneurs with emotional skills, as has been established in the extant literature, and instead provides an actual evaluation of the effectiveness of training emotional skills to entrepreneurs.
