Abstract:
In contrast to an individualistic vision of entrepreneurship, this article highlights a collective entrepreneurial approach that draws on relationships established with local players, through a real-life case: the revival of the hemp industry in the French Landes district, initiated by a young researcher-entrepreneur. He calls on a variety of networks ? professional, family and friends ? to establish essential connections and assemble the resources needed to complete the project. This case study also shows how research can shed light on business creation, from a proximity perspective in that case, proposing an innovative viewpoint on entrepreneurship.
