Abstract:
Local economic development is unanimously sought. This development is an improvement in local living or production conditions. Development can be generated both by local entrepreneurship and by governance structure of territorialized networks of organizations (TNO). Territorial entrepreneurship is a dynamic in which local resources are used to solve local problems. The governance structure of TNO mobilizes and coordinates actors to drive a collective strategy. The literature does not link these similar and complementary concepts. This article shows that the governance structure can be a territorial entrepreneur, generating a development dynamic. A unique case study on the Mecanic Vallée association supports the demonstration.
