Retour sur la notion de Proximité Géographique

Andre Torre

Géographie, économie, société, 2009, vol. 11, issue 1, 63-75

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to shed light on the renewed notions of proximity, and particularly on Geographical Proximity, including the characterization of temporary dimensions which allows a dynamic analysis of relations of proximity. The first part is devoted to deepening the concept of Geographical Proximity and its procedures of activation, as well as the impact of the development of New Information and Communication Technology on the processes of mobility and ubiquity of the actors. The second part is an attempt to understand the dynamics of proximity relations, based particularly on taking into account Temporary Geographical Proximity relations.
