Abstract:
The strongly weakened rural territories encounter significant problems of development. Neither the market nor the public authorities seem able to bring suitable solutions. In this context, a better integration of social organizations in these territories appears desirable. But so that such an evolution is done, it is appropriate that social utility produced by these organisations is socially recognized. From this point of view, position of the public authorities appears decisive. Present contribution tries to appreciate the nature of that social recognition process in the case of Corsica.
