Abstract:
Through the study of planning projects located inside the area of the Schéma de Cohésion Territoriale (local plan) of Tours, this paper analyzes how farm-land in periurban spaces is appropriated by various local actors. To satisfy sometimes antagonistic expectations, local authorities tend to limit land consumption by considering farm activities as heritage or as a ?generic?. These dichotomous views do not consider land as a non-renewable resource : they allow the continuation of land consumption.
