Enquête sur l’émergence d’un espace de coordination marchande: l’offre de rénovation globale de la maison individuelle dans la Biovallée (Drôme, France)

Géographie, économie, société, 2017, vol. 19, issue 2, 221-241

Abstract: In France, the recent development of craftmen groups to promote the refurbishment of residential building calls for clarifications of their organisational model. The retrofitting experiment initiated in the Biovallée (France, Drôme) is illustrative of this innovative approach, and even provides for its notoriety. Gathering both training and test sites, this experiment opens new and stimulating economical perspectives for the local building professionals. However, the emergence of a new market focused on the global retroffit of individual houses generates important recompositions which have to be analysed regarding the social and territorial organisations involved in it ? as these ones may participate in its emerging potential, both quantitative and qualitative. This paper analyses, through the notion of « space of market coordination », new emerging energy efficiency potentials, their dimensions and their issues of governmentality.
