Abstract:
Tourism contributes to the construction of territories. However its integration into strategic spatial planning still seems limited in France. This paper analyses the articulation of tourism and planning since the beginning of the XXth century. It explores limits and opportunities of the integration of this thematic in contemporary strategic spatial planning practices. It illustrates this view by examining coastal territories and specifically the urban development plans (territorial coherence schemes).
