De l’utilité de l’évaluation de l’acceptabilité des innovations technologiques transformant les contextes professionnels du soin: le cas des technologies de domotique

Frédérique Barnier and Rahma Chekkar

Innovations, 2021, vol. N° 66, issue 3, 203-234

Abstract: The research reported in this article propose a reflexive exercise on the usefulness of acceptability investigations carried out during the beginning of innovation processes related to technological trends transforming care professional contexts. In this objective, the authors use the data resulting from an acceptability investigation about a house automation technology (developed within a project named CoCaPs), led through semi-directive interviews with 37 professionals working in care organisations. Both computerized and manual analysis of collected data leads the authors to corroborate, precise and complete perceptions suggested in prior literature that professionals working in care organisations are likely to express while facing to the introduction of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The authors then offer a feedback and a reflection around the usefulness of acceptability investigations based on lessons learned from the undertaken investigation and on data resulting from an interview with the two initiators and coordinators of the project.
