Abstract:
International guidelines regarding sustainable management of Marine Protected Areas recommend to establish local governance mechanisms, promoting a strengthened responsabilization of natives populations and improving the articulation between different levels of power. The allocation and the effective guarantee of territorial rights of use constitute a relevant model for a better autonomy within these protected areas.
