Abstract:
In this paper, we try to assess, using a dynamic computable general equilibrium model, the impact of rainfall shocks on poverty in Senegal. Results indicate that less rainy periods correspond to phases of increasing poverty for all groups of households. However, during periods of good rainfall, urban households are those who mainly gain.
