Le tourisme durable dans les Suds: solution ou mirage ?
Géraldine Froger
Mondes en développement, 2012, vol. n°157, issue 1, 29-46
Abstract:
The aim of this paper is firstly to identify and explain the many names that describe alternative forms of tourism under a "sustainable" tourism while highlighting the ambivalences and contradictions. Secondly, we analyse the potential and limitations of two particular forms of sustainable tourism (more institutionalized than others) : ecotourism and community-based tourism, thanks to some discrepancies between rhetoric and practice in several areas of the South.
