Tourisme médical: quelle place pour les pays en développement ?

Abstract: Medical tourism is seen as a recent concept and is mainly seen as plastic surgery in developing countries. However, medical tourism refers to patients taking advantage of medical services abroad in an environment different from that of their everyday lives. Several factors have led to this recent phenomenon : long waiting list in order to be operated and prices of cares are main variables influencing patient behavior. The purpose of this article is to highlight and study the impact of medical tourism on economy, patients and countries providers of health care services.
