Abstract:
Remittances from migrants have become more and more important for many developing countries, and Tajikistan is no exception. The study of the determinants of Tajik remittances highlights the influence of Russian economic activity on these flows. Two main factors explain this result : the massive migration of Tajik workers in Russia and the predominance of altruistic motive. The international financial crisis indirectly affects Tajikistan.
