Abstract:
Within Fair Trade, labeled chains are often opposed to specialized chains. The first is for a number of years the subject of criticism. On the base of a set of ethical criteria, we argue that these criticisms are a bit steep. They forget the originality of labeled chains. Especially they are forged on a comparison with the specialized chains while these two types of chains are designed with very different objectives.
