Abstract:
The insurance application has generated much work to identify predictors to determine the key variables. The most important is GDP per capita. The Enz logistic curve is an extensively validated representation. The purpose of this article is to explain the deviations of certain savings compared to this trend. A panel data analysis, covering 74 countries for the period 1996-2011, is proposed. The results show that the variable rentier state, neglected in the literature, plays a decisive role.
