Abstract:
Reconciling Sustainable Development Goals 7 and 13, which aim respectively to ?Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all? and to ?Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts? will require a significant change of scale in development financing in Africa as well as a change in its nature. The share of renewable energies should logically increase within the energy mix. An important issue related to the diversification of energy sources will be to find the appropriate modes of coordination between decentralized and centralized access to energy.
