Abstract:
The political economy of development aims to address issues relating to the production and distribution of goods and services, both material and immaterial, during the development processes of human societies. It is to this task, vast and complex, that Philippe Hugon?who left us this April 28, 2018? dedicated himself, and to whom this article pays homage. His intellectual approach is illustrated by a reflection from his work on thinking in development economics, globalization, regionalization, and the outlook for African economies.
