Abstract:
This article studies the government of foreign trade as a space of notabilization in relation to partisan conflicts. In the Tunisian post-revolutionary context, the trade deficit with Turkey has led to intense criticism from anti-Islamist elites. Islamic businessmen developed transnational networks while the Ennahdha tried to control political decision-making on foreign trade. However the old economic elites, allied with the new political ones, managed to make their voices heard every time these new actors carried out a concrete action.
