Abstract:
What does the spread of self-employment imply both individually and collectively? The article analyses the French ?auto-entrepreneur? regime as a workaround for the wage system which participates in the destruction of the social model. Bypassing the wage system is part of the goals of the political advocators of the ?auto-entrepreneur? regime as well as it is the result of the employers? strategies to outsource the workforce. The device produces an injunction to autonomy, especially toward the working classes. It thus functions as a new way of domination based on self-discipline and the undermining of collective structures.
