Abstract:
Over the two millennia of its existence, China has built a conception of foreign policy that is very different to that of Western countries and has also been adopted by the People?s Republic. It justifies the ?Chinese characteristics? that explain change by social differences. The originality of this approach is that it combines a society of entrepreneurs, competition between regions, and a centralized political power. In the era that led up to the creation of a socialist society, now followed by an ecological civilization, the Reform was directed towards quantitative growth. Up until the one-hundredth anniversary of the People?s Republic, the transformation has aimed at re-establishing the Middle Kingdom at the core of Asia.
