Abstract:
The editorial board went in search of Frédéric Lebaron. In this interview, he reviews the research he has carried out on economists, the field of economics, and the close links it maintains with the sphere of political power. He studies the construction of legitimacy in economics and the extent to which it is autonomous. Unlike the physical sciences, which are often used as a model by economists, economic science seems to be strongly linked to entities that are exterior to it. From this perspective, many epistemological issues in economics remain unresolved. Recent debates have not led to a solution being found.
