17. Vers la « grande performation » ?
Philippe Steiner
Regards croisés sur l'économie, 2018, vol. n° 22, issue 1, 224-231
Abstract:
This article suggests that a ?great performation? is taking place through the production of exchange arenas by social theories, notably when the latter are embedded in the devices that enable transactions to be processed, e.g. price setting software for financial markets and algorithms for exchange platforms. In Polanyian terms, the stake is the containment of the market society through the redefinition of the frontier between market and non-market transactions.
