8. Répartition et marquage de l’argent au sein du couple

Abstract:
Does living together as a couple counterbalance the wage gap between men and women ? Both statistical and ethnographic evidence show that the way in which income is pooled, partially or completely, is linked to the balance of power within a couple and to gendered representations of each partner?s role. Even within the household, an economic ?unit,? money is not just a currency, but carries symbolic meaning depending on its provenance and uses.
