8. Être collègues et concurrents: l’interdépendance des professionnels indépendants

Léonie Hénaut and Hadrien Riffaut

Regards croisés sur l'économie, 2019, vol. n° 25, issue 2, 93-102

Abstract: Independent professionals within a given sector are by definition in competition: they seek to conquer the same pool of clients and to win the same tenders. But they must also cooperate for larger operations, they share information, they help each other, and they sometimes even develop friendships and collective actions. This contribution explores the case of conservator-restorers to show the interdependencies between independent workers and the way they manage these relations as ?colleague-competitors.?
