Abstract:
In the Paris Climate Agreement (2015), the international community vowed to keep global warming under 2°C and set carbon neutrality as a priority. Economists usually translate such climate goals into a price or a tax on greenhouse gases. But a simple tax on carbon is not necessarily socially acceptable, in other words, socially fair and able to gain the support of citizens.
