Abstract:
Since the 2000s, there has been a trend toward more diversified and more complex remuneration packages. While managers use variable pay as a tool for motivating staff, surveys show that it contributes to a rise in uncertainty at the heart of the stable workforce and is accompanied by an increase in gender inequalities.
