Pierre Rondeau

Regards croisés sur l'économie, 2020, vol. n° 27, issue 2, 203-211

Abstract: Here is a topic that appears regularly in the media: footballers are the new millionaires, who can achieve fortune, fame, and wealth with just one kick of a ball. This article aims to explain the causes and consequences of such a phenomenon, i.e., how such a rapid accumulation of wealth benefits some people at the expense of others, who become victims of a vicious circle of growing inequality.
