Abstract:
The idea that big cities are more competitive than other territories has gradually taken hold in France. The theory follows that they should therefore be supported. In this article, we show the limitations of this new development model by questioning the very idea of a ?model? to be reproduced, by examining the supposed advantages of big cities, and by demonstrating the limitations of attractiveness policies.
