Abstract:
Some cities face continued population and job losses, a phenomenon that geographers refer to as shrinking cities. This interview reveals the causes of urban decline and carries out a critical review of the strategies adopted by public authorities to counter it. Sylvie Fol specifies that her statements are the result of collective pieces of work conducted in the context of several national and international research programs.
