Abstract:
Dance is a vocational profession in which the economic dimension is a major condition for entering and remaining in the activity. Investigating on the commitment to an artistic career requires the articulation of the material and symbolic dimensions of investments. Considering the family situation of artists, the training institutions and the specific support systems for creation and the profession of artist appears central to explain the conditions of aesthetic production.
