L’encastrement politique des prix

Regards croisés sur l'économie, 2023, vol. n° 32, issue 1, 133-140
Abstract:
Sociology has shown the diversity of social processes at work in price determination. However, less is known about the political dimension of the social embeddedness of prices. By political embeddedness, we mean any power struggle involving public and private, market and non-market actors for the control of the value of goods. By combining the tools of economic sociology and political sociology, this article proposes an analytical framework for the political embeddedness of prices.
