Rendre la volatilité acceptable.. La rationalisation financière des marchés agricoles et ses tensions
Samuel Pinaud
Regards croisés sur l'économie, 2023, vol. n° 33, issue 2, 76-85
Abstract:
Since the mid-2000s, international agricultural markets have been characterized by their upward trend and increased price volatility. This article describes the conditions for the institutionalization of a volatile price regime and futures markets as a response to this new market uncertainty. It analyzes the contemporary development of futures contracts and the aporias of these instruments for regulating the deleterious effects of price volatility.
