Abstract:
In a recent statement entitled ?Basel II and the scope for prompt corrective action in Europe?, the European Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee recommends the adoption of a Directive requiring eu members to implement Prompt Corrective Actions rules. We propose a critical analysis of this proposal. In particular, we underline some implicit consequences on the other components of the European financial safety net. Classification JEL : G2, K2.
