Abstract:
Since the financial crisis, governments and central banks have launched a consolidation of financial systems which focuses on building a macroprudential framework. In section 1, we define the content of macroprudential rules and principles which underlie their adoption. In Section 2, we study the theoretical foundations that justify the use of such policies. In Section 3, the effects of macroprudential paradigm for monetary policy and central banking are examined. Finally, Section 4 highlights the incompleteness and even hypothetical macroprudential paradigm, given the resistance it generates. Classification JEL : E44, G28
