Complément à la microéconomie de la production: les contraintes techniques

Revue économique, 2022, vol. 73, issue 1, 5-41
Abstract:
We propose here a clarification of how handbooks of microeconomics usually define technical constraints of a production unit (in the context of the general equilibrium theory), which places labor in the center of production. It brings nonetheless more realism as well as more science and completeness. It opens the door to the production unit and shows how its production is done. It gives a precise typology of inputs and the mean to introduce the externalization of parts of the production toward other production units. It explains the key property of the production set, until now simply assigned to it through a hypothesis, which is its convexity.
