Philippe Mongin, un épistémologue exigeant de la théorie économique
Bernard Walliser
Revue économique, 2022, vol. 73, issue 6, 887-896
Abstract:
The numerous epistemological articles written by Philippe Mongin are discussed while grouping them into three main domains. They are respectively devoted to the transfer to economics of fundamental concepts of general epistemology, to studies focused on the central problem of agents? economic rationality and to the difficulties faced by such and such theory with regard to epistemological principles. The conclusion stresses the exemplarity for young generations of the author?s articles which master simultaneously historical, philosophical and technical considerations. Classification JEL: B4.
