Abstract:
Through their ability to mobilize on political issues, football fan groups in Croatia and Serbia can be considered to be first class political actors. However, regardless of their classic repertoire of action (songs, slogans and banners with political dimension), this article aims to focus on the use of physical violence as a political repertoire of action out of the stadium, against specifically targeted goods and people. Thus, this article will attempt to make those mobilizations intelligible by linking them to Croatia?s and Serbia?s respective trajectory since the end of the war as well as the relations between fan groups leaders and some political actors.
